Submit a Policy Issue

The SDSMA Member Open Forum is a dedicated space for members to shape the future of medicine in South Dakota. The forum provides a platform to bring critical issues to the attention of the SDSMA, discuss concerns submitted by colleagues, and gain diverse perspectives from physicians across the state. The SDSMA invites members to submit issues for which association action may be needed.

• WHEN: The next open forum is scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, May 29, 2026 in conjunction with the 2026 SDSMA Annual Leadership Conference.
  
  
• WHERE: Catlin Hotel, Downtown Sioux Falls, 201 E 8th St.

• DEADLINE: Submissions must be received no later than 5 p.m. CT Friday, May 15, 2026 to be considered at the open forum.
