AMA Membership

The SDSMA encourages you to be a member of the American Medical Association to support South Dakota’s presence on the national stage as well as expand your professional base. The SDSMA receives a commission from the AMA if members join through the SDSMA office instead of the AMA directly.

Dues used for lobbying activities are not tax deductible. As a result, 35 percent of AMA dues cannot be deducted as a business expense for federal income tax purposes.
