SDSMA Legislative Day 2026

Show legislators your support for patients and the medical profession by attending the SDSMA Legislative Day. The association will be sponsoring an afternoon snack break in the Speaker’s and President’s lobbies in the State Capitol from 1:00-3:00 pm Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

Join your colleagues to interact with legislators and promote the SDSMA’s advocacy priorities. This is a great opportunity to meet and become better acquainted with your elected representatives.

• Why Attend? Legislators need to hear directly from physicians – build lasting relationships

INVITATION TO MEDICAL SCHOOL MIXER:
Additionally, the evening prior – Monday, February 2 from 6:30-8:30 pm – SDSMA members are encouraged to attend a social hour hosted by the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine at the AmericInn in Fort Pierre, 312 Island Drive. This is an opportunity to meet the MD class of 2029 and mingle with school leadership. Food and drinks will be served. If you plan to attend, please RSVP by January 30 to nicole.plesec@usd.edu.
