Resident Section

All SDSMA members who are currently in residency or fellowship programs are able to participate in a forum for residents at SDSMA’s annual meeting.  This forum educates residents about issues facing the profession.

Medical Student Section

Join other medical student members of the SDSMA in a forum for involvement, mentoring, and networking.  A governing council oversees a wide range of activities related to advocacy, policy, and community service.

Women’s Physician Section

The Women’s Physician Section represents and advocates for women physicians.  The Women’s Physician Section is an excellent source to increase the number of women physicians in leadership roles and strengthen the voice of women in organized medicine.

Young Physician Section

The Young Physician Section includes members of the SDSMA who are under 40 years of age, or in their first five years of practice.  This is a great resource for young physicians in their early to mid-career stages.
